Womens Ministries Director: Jamie Pipher
Jamie serves as the Women’s Ministry Director at Heartland. She is married to Zeke and has three kids – Kate, Aidan, and Claire. Jamie has attended Heartland since 2005 when she was a young wife and mom. Now she has a house full of teenagers and more than a few gray hairs. The seasons of a woman’s life change quickly (even when some of those days with young kids seem to last forever). Jamie believes that the local church is the most ideal place to equip women of all ages to find what it means to live in submission to Jesus and to learn to serve each other.
Facilities Coordinator: Tracy Myers
Tracy keeps tabs on various areas at Heartland from the office to facility maintenance. She enjoys spending time with her husband and five children & grandchild. 1 Thessalonians 15:16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Administrative Assistant: Marsha Johnson
Marsha enjoys being part of the office staff at Heartland. She helps Pastor JJ with all the details of the finances for the church and takes care of the communications/bulletins each week. She greatly enjoys anything that involves being outdoors – playing with grandkids, gardening, yardwork, animal chores, or just relaxing in a comfortable chair. She also enjoys knitting and sewing. At any given moment, she has several “projects” in the works. She loves what she sees God doing in our body of believers at Heartland.
Children’s Ministry Director: Melody Merchant
Melody has been the Children’s Ministry Director at Heartland since fall of 2014. She especially enjoys reading children’s picture books and handing out papers at volunteer training. 😉 Melody also loves serving with the worship team at Heartland. Most Sundays you’ll find her racing back and forth between the stage and the Kids Min hallway. Melody and her husband Caleb have been married for 16 years. They have four kids: Ethan, Kylie, Julia, and Ava. They spend most of their time driving to Ethan’s sports events and hanging out at home with the girls and their cats.
AWANA Commander: Drew Schreiber
Drew has been serving as Awana Commander at Heartland since 2016. His involvement with Awana started as a young child while attending Awana clubs. As he grew out of being a clubber, he returned to Awana by serving in various roles in Central City and Omaha clubs. Drew said that his desire in working with Awana is to “reach children in our community with the message of Jesus Christ.” Drew has over 10 years experience in working with youth and more than 20 years of walking in faith with Christ.
Drew and his wife Lydia are parents to four boys Riley, Tucker, Mason and Oakley. As a family, they enjoy spending time together, going on walks and rooting on the Huskers.
Facilities and Productions Director: Paul Beyer
Paul wants to live in a world filled with Pepsi fountains, endless chocolate covered peanut butter cups and a lot fewer vegetables. His life’s ambition is to grow a beard like Pastor JJ.
With his history in law enforcement and his current job, Paul has been blessed to realize his passion for helping people. He has seen people at their best and at their worst and that has helped him develop a deep compassion for God’s people. God has also led Paul through some difficult life experiences, which have led him closer to the Lord and given him a desire to share God’s love and comfort with others. Paul and his wife of 20 years, Julie, have four kids: Jaeden, Makenna, Lawrence, and Annslee.
When he’s not fixing things or helping people find their dream homes, you can find him taking and editing photos and videos. He will also probably be watching his favorite videographer on YouTube….again. 🙂
As a staff member at Heartland, Paul is excited to combine together his passions for God’s people and technology.
