Who’s Coming to Dinner?

Who’s Coming to Dinner?

Heartland wants to strengthen relationships in our church body. Scripture urges us to “Show hospitality to one another.” (1 Peter 4) The Church in Acts “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” (Acts 2:42) We also desire to connect new people to our church fellowship. So we are starting something called:

Who’s Coming to Dinner?

Here’s how it works: Fill out your information and drop this card in the offering or in the box on the information table in the foyer. Someone will contact you with a time and directions to your host’s home and the food you’re responsible to bring. Here’s the catch: You won’t know who else is coming to the meal. This will be open to adults (not kids) so that deeper conversations can take place, and those present can engage more fully. We hope that new relationships will be formed and old ones deepened as we break bread together as brothers and sisters in Christ.

If you need childcare, we may be able to direct you to some good babysitters who need to earn money for summer youth trips. Jewel Faeh is organizing this ministry. Please contact her with any questions.
