Marsha Johnson

Marsha counts it a privilege to be part of the office staff at Heartland. She mostly works under Pastor JJ keeping track of all the details of the finances for the church. She also helps with the communications part of the office responsibilities.  She greatly enjoys anything that involves being outdoors – being with grandkids, gardening, yardwork, or just reading in the sun. She also enjoys knitting and sewing. At any given moment, she has several “projects” in the works.…
Awana Coordinator

Drew Schreiber

A Central City native, Drew Schreiber and his wife Lydia have four sons: Riley, Tucker, Mason, and Oakley. Drew is Director of Business Development at Twin Rivers Urgent Care. He has been involved with the Awana ministry since childhood and serves as Heartland’s Awana commander.  He enjoys spending time with his family, taking walks, and rooting for the Huskers. Children’s Ministry Coordinator

Liz Gamblin

Liz serves as Heartland’s Children’s Ministry Coordinator. She has been volunteering as a Sunday school teacher and with VBS at Heartland since 2013. She splits her time between the church and Nebraska Christian where she is the middle school/high school Librarian. She is married to Scott and they have 2 children, Eli and Mali. In her free time, Liz enjoys walking, reading books and finding new things to bake.

Travis Purkerson

Travis Purkerson and his wife Ruth have been married for 26 years and have six children. Their two oldest children are married. Ruth and Travis have four children living at home with them: Rebecca, Josie, Clay and Justin. Travis and Ruth have been working in ministry for over 23 years. The majority of those years have been spent in the ministry of worship. Travis has also enjoyed the ministry of Biblical Counseling for many years. His desire is to see God’s…
