Our Mission

Our mission is to partner with parents to build a gospel-centered foundation, teaching God’s Word so that every child grows as a disciple of Jesus—learning to love God, love others, and share His good news.

Welcome to Heartland Kids!

We think you’ll find quite a bit of joy wherever you find kids in our building. We combine fantastic volunteers who genuinely love God and want to serve our littles with carefully crafted security practices and Christ-centered curriculum to create an opportunity to show the love of Christ and teach the character of God to the youngest ones at Heartland. What a privilege!

Sunday Mornings

We’d love to welcome your kids to church on Sunday mornings! During the 9:00 service, childcare is provided for kids through preschool age. During the 10:30 service, classes are offered for all kids through 6th grade. Children through preschool check into their classrooms while elementary kids meet together for music and teaching during large group time. Then they break out into small groups for interactive activities. It’s a safe place for your kids to grow in their faith and make lasting friendships!

AWANA

Welcome to Heartland AWANA! We exist for the sole purpose of reaching kids with the gospel and engaging them with lifelong discipleship so that they may know, love, and serve Jesus Christ! We offer AWANA for kids from Pre-K through 6th grade. We encourage them to memorize, learn, and apply the Bible. Lessons, games, and music make up the fun that is AWANA. We meet on Wednesday nights during the school year.

VBS

Vacation Bible School is a week focused on learning & fun in the summer! Elementary aged kids enjoy music, games, Bible stories & memory work, crafts, snacks, and more!

Do you have safety measures in place?

Heartland Kids volunteers are carefully screened and highly trained. Additionally, every child must have a printed tag and cannot be checked out without the matching tag.

What if my child has special needs?

We strive to provide the best possible environment for children of all abilities to thrive. Our buddy system is designed to provide one-on-one attention for kids who need a little extra help. Our children’s ministry director would love to partner with you to see if our buddy ministry is a good fit for your child.

How can I get involved in Heartland Kids?

We always need more volunteers in a wide range of areas! If you have been a regular attender at Heartland for at least a year, please click here to see a list of opportunities.
